Our school, located in the vibrant community of Tower Hamlets, is dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where every student can succeed. We are looking for an empathetic and motivated Behaviour Mentor to join our team and work closely with students who need additional support to thrive both academically and personally.

Role and Responsibilities:


As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students who are experiencing behavioural challenges, helping them to develop positive behaviours and attitudes.
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to create and implement behaviour support plans tailored to individual student needs.
  • Act as a positive role model, building trusting relationships with students and encouraging self-esteem, resilience, and self-discipline.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and senior staff to inform future strategies.
  • Support the development of social and emotional skills, helping students to navigate challenges both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Assist in creating a positive and inclusive school environment, promoting respect, cooperation, and understanding among all students.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with young people, particularly those with behavioural or emotional difficulties, is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with students.
  • A calm, patient, and non-judgmental approach, with the ability to remain composed in challenging situations.
  • A proactive and flexible attitude, with a willingness to take on a variety of tasks to support student success.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in behaviour management, psychology, or a related field are advantageous but not essential.
